Real World Lessons in Digital Marketling Strategies from India

Vivek Nayer, a seasoned marketing professional, is the CMO, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. In this interview, posted in India Digital Review.com, Vivek shares some of their firm’s digital marketing strategies.  A few of my favorites include:

  1. Make your communication mistakes on-line before leveraging significantly more expensive traditional media channels: “all our TV ads get released online first.”
  2. Focus on engagement and buzz through interactivity: “we’ve converted our TV ads into Facebook app”
  3. Invest in digital, but don’t forget it’s all about where your customers are: “It’s always been about putting the money where people are. And we know that digital is the future.”
